In this video, one can clearly see that this is a spoof of the parable of Jesus Walks on Water. Although it may look like this has nothing to do with Jesus, and it may sound funny, but this clip sort of paralells Jesus' actions. It does not paralell the parable just because of Woods walking on the water, but it also resembles the parable for the reason that Woods was walking on the water. Like Christine had said in her post, Jesus was performing a selfless act. He was not trying to impress anyone with what he did, but through the process, people were in awe at his ability to perform the impossible . In the clip, Woods is doig the same thing. He's not trying to impress anyone, but at the end of the clip, it says, "He's just that good". In the end, I think that although this was a spoof of the parable, one can find many symbols within the clip which really resembles our parable.
I think this is a great clip that help gives a contemporary spin on an old idea. I believe this works because of who the athlete is. Tiger Woods is not a showing guy like over top basketball player. He talks very softly yet his words carry great weight to those who listen to him. I also find a parallel in the man is working with something that should be left for nothing. That ball like the leopards should have been forgot about be Jesus like Tiger in the spoof went after those who should have been forgotten and made great thing from that.
